Our Doctrinal Statement
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in matters of Faith and Life. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Mark 12:29; John 1:1-4; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 4:3-4; II Corinthians 13:14 (NKJV)
We believe in the absolute Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, truly God, truly Man. Acts 1:3, 9; John 1:1, 14, 18, 8:58, 14:8-9; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 7:25-26; Revelation 22:13 (NKJV)
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. Romans 3:9-12, 23 (NKJV)
We believe God provided salvation by giving His own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to take the sinner’s place, and make salvation freely available to all. John 3:16-17; Romans 5:1-21; Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)
We believe baptism is the command to every Christian to follow Christ in believer’s baptism by immersion. Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:38, 18:8; Colossians 2:2; II Corinthians 5:17; Romans 6:1-4 (NKJV)
We believe that every Christian should live a life and have a testimony that is pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ, a life that will not bring reproach to His Name. Galatians 2:20, 5:16; Ephesians 2, 4:25-5:21 (NKJV)
We believe that the gift of tongues is a dispensational gift and not applicable for today. We do not practice, nor endorse the practice of speaking in tongues. I Corinthians 12:9-11, 13; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:7-12; Matthew 28:19-20; I Corinthians. 12:12,13, 13:8-13; Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:22, 23; II Timothy 1:9 (NKJV)
